Commedia dell'arte is an old form of Italian, improvised, comedy theatre, from the 16th century. It is made up of a group of masked, stock characters, each with their own exaggerated performance. Rebecca is interested in these old types of characters and how they are mirrored in many popular films and TV shows today. On a personal level, Rebecca finds it difficult to categorise her own disposition using these singular types. Representing herself using a range of these different characters is a slight but colourful resolution of her own personality.
