Alice's escapades in England is a satirical look at figures present in our society. The themes deal with the sexualisation of children and political ideas. These themes are continually pushed and exaggerated by the media, therefore detaching from any real meaning. It is not that Rebecca thinks David Cameron and Nick Clegg are like Tweedledum and Tweedledee but the media is so far removed from the truth. Their main concern is selling stories or getting viewers, resulting in caricatured versions of the truth. It was important to screen print these images in bright colours to mimic news papers and comic books.
